You’ve got Q’s? I’ve got A’s

How does this work and what’s the process?

It’s actually pretty simple! Once you’re ready to make all your home design dreams come true, check out my design services to learn more about which service is right for you. When you’re ready to get started, fill out the design project form to provide some initial details about your project. You’ll hear back from me within 48 hours with information about submitting your payment, an expected project delivery date, and setting up a time for a 30-minute phone/video conversation (optional, we can stick to email if you prefer!) to discuss your vision, budget, requirements, and design style so that we’re on the same page about what you’re looking for. Once I have all the details, I’ll get started on your design and you can expect your design details to be delivered via email by the agreed upon delivery date.

What’s the current turnaround time for delivering my design?

I know you’re eager to receive your design, so luckily you won’t have to wait very long! Most design projects will be delivered within 7 -10 business days of when payment is submitted and all of the design details about your project are received. I’ll let you know in my initial email about your project when you can expect delivery of your design based on current capacity and I’m happy to work with reasonable timeline requests.

How do I know which service is right for me?

I can help! Check out the design services page for detailed information about the offerings for each service and an example of what you can expect to receive. When you complete the design project form, you’ll share some initial details about your project and if I think a different service is a better for you based on your project, I’ll recommend that change when I email you! If you don’t see what you’re looking for, I can always create a custom quote.

What’s the average budget?

You tell me! I’m happy to work with whatever your budget is and will source pieces accordingly. If your budget is very tight, I can also prioritize which pieces will give you the most bang for your buck to achieve the look you’re going for - home takes time and you shouldn’t feel pressured to change everything all at once. You can also use the design I provide as inspiration to find similar items second-hand via facebook marketplace/offer-up or at thrift stores.

Where do you source furniture and decor from?

I have a lot of favorite vendors at every price point! Depending on your budget, lifestyle, and tolerance for building furniture vs white glove delivery, I’ll select vendors accordingly. For more value-focused vendors I like Amazon, Wayfair, Target, Ikea, World Market, H&M, Etsy, and more, while more name brand vendors could include West Elm, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, CB2, Article, and Lulu & Georgia. I also believe in a blend of high and low and will use this in your design to include investment pieces that you’ll have forever with a mix of dupes to give you a high-end look for less when the situation calls for it. We’ll talk about your preferences during our design meeting. No matter where I’m sourcing from, I always read reviews extensively to ensure everything I’m selecting will be high quality.

Do you work with furniture and decor I already own?

Of course! When we meet we’ll talk through any furniture pieces and decor that you want me to incorporate into your design. I may ask for dimensions and photos/sources for those pieces so that I can accurately incorporate them into your design.

Do I have to buy all of the things in the source list using your links?

Only if you want to! With every design project I’ll provide a list of sources that give you details about the products included in your design (product name, vendor, dimensions, current price, design notes, and a link to purchase). I do this to simplify the decorating process, take the guesswork out, and make it easy to quickly purchase the items you love. It’s always appreciated if you use the direct links as they may earn a small commission, but it is not required.

Do you offer discounts or packages for multiple rooms?

The more the merrier! I offer a 10% discount on any additional rooms added to your project, and will honor the discount if you start a new design project within 90 days of delivery of the initial project.

How do you define a “room”?

Great question! A room is defined based on its main function, not necessarily the number of walls or size of the space. If you have a large space that is both your “living room” (couch, tv, coffee table, etc.) and also functions as a “dining room” (table, chairs, etc.) those are considered two different rooms and would have two completely different product lists. If you’d like for a room to have a secondary function such as a “bedroom” that also has a desk for a makeshift office, I’m happy to design that as part of one room. Every space is unique and I’ll work with each client to create a design package that makes sense for them.

Do you do exteriors?

I love outdoor living and would love to help you with your outdoor space! Please keep in mind I am not a landscaper or architect and will not provide design guidance related to plants and landscaping (you should consult with a local expert for that piece and to select plants that will thrive based on your location), or for architectural features like pools, retaining walls, pathways, etc. If you have specific questions about your outdoor design project, let’s chat!

What’s your refund policy?

I’m unable to offer refunds, but that is why both of my design packages offer opportunity for revision. I want you to love your design and occasionally it’s not always 100% perfect on the first try - I’m a designer, not a mind reader, and design is incredibly subjective. If you don’t love that lamp, I can swap it out. Want to see a different rug? No problem. After you receive your design, you’ll have 7 days to request any reasonable revisions.
